Based on direct feedback from employees across the state, we’re excited to launch a new monthly virtual training series beginning this September:

Thrive Together: Monthly Conversations to Strengthen our Extension Community

This four-part professional development series — held on the first Friday of each month from 9:00–10:00 AM (September through December 2025) — will focus on key topics identified as the most critical areas for growth, including communication, wellness, and mentoring.
“This series is designed to support our people — through listening, learning, and taking meaningful action,” said Herpy. “We want to build a stronger, more transparent, and supportive work environment for everyone.”

Each session will feature guest speakers, practical tools, and opportunities to engage with colleagues statewide. Recordings and resources will be available after each session.

📅 Upcoming Sessions:

  • September 5: Coaching for Wellness: Equipping CEDs to Lead Well
  • October 3: Wellness That Works: Real Strategies for Extension Professionals
  • November 7: Clarity is Kindness: Strengthening Communication Across Extension
  • December 5: From Listening to Action: Moving Extension Forward Together

We invite all employees to attend, share, and help shape the future of our Extension system — together.

Registration is now open in XLMS.
